(1) A DIN rail is a standardised 35 mm wide metal rail with hat-shaped cross section. It is widely used for mounting industrial control equipment and circuit breakers inside equipment racks.
(2) A term that refers to fuses where the connection is by a solid blade, usually copper. These blades can either be solid or they may be slotted to allow the fitting of these fuses into various mountings and holders.
